Facilier carefully watched her reaction…it was as if he could read her thoughts exactly. It was obvious that she had never lived in such luxury. He suddenly felt pity for her, in a loving sort of way. He had a deep resolve to make sure that she was as comfortable and pampered for the duration of her stay with him. Everything must be perfect, for this precious little “street mouse,” as she called herself. Princess would be a more accurate term for her, he thought. As I keep calling her. ”I trust everything is to your liking?” He looked at her intently, hoping for the positive answer he knew he’d get.
Sadira grinned up at him from the bed and nodded eagerly. “It’s so perfect, I love it! It’s like my dream room!” She rolled around a bit, overcome with absolute joy. “Your house-erm…parlor,” She corrected herself. “Is beautiful. It really is. Ever since I first walked in here, I’ve been so intrigued by everything.” She kicked her legs off the bed and walked over to him, taking his hands in hers and looking up at him. “Thank you so much, Dr. Facilier~”
“You’re very welcome, Sadira. It’s getting late, however, and tomorrow is going to be a rigorous and long day of learning and training. Best rest up, sugar pie,” he winked as he began to walk out the door, silently placing a charm on the room so that she would have no bad dreams tonight.
Sadira sighed softly, watching him go. She felt so awake and energetic from the move, she couldn’t possibly sleep! Frowning, she gave in and figured she could at least try. She closed the door behind him gently and walked over to the vanity. She peered into the mirror and wrinkled her nose at her appearance. Her hair was a bit messy. She picked up a brush and showed her hair no mercy while she pulled through knots. By the time she was done, her hair was softer and smoother than before.
She summoned a pair of cotton shorts, stockings, and a tank top to sleep in. Lazily, she began to pull on the tank top and shorts, while looking around the room. She couldn’t believe she was actually living in Dr. Facilier’s parlor.
As Facilier walked towards his bedroom, he loved the feeling of having another’s warmth in the parlor. Something had changed in the air; the parlor felt less empty, and more full of life than ever before. He already loved how much spirit Sadira had brought with her. Ah, Sadira…so much beauty, so much love in the sweet little “street mouse.” How she could manage to call herself such a term was beyond Facilier. He stripped down to his boxers to sleep in, muttering to himself, “She’s a princess in my eyes.” Drifting off to sleep he couldn’t help but replay the moments in which he had almost kissed Sadira. How stupid he was in that moment of weakness. He couldn’t wait until the next chance he got to explain to her what had happened…

Wendy peered at the man cautiously. "Hello there...who're you?"
Facilier tipped his hat and handed her a copy of his business card. “My name, is Dr. Facilier. How ya’ll doin’?”
